PLANKOWNER DEADLINE IS PAST (31 December 2022)
THANKS TO ALL OUR GRADS WHO STEPPED UP AND BECAME A PART OF HISTORY BY BECOMING A PLANKOWNER. FINAL RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON. STAY TUNED!
The U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association & Foundation Center will be a lasting legacy for alumni, parents, and friends—and will allow for significant opportunities for individual and class recognition throughout the property to acknowledge our history and ongoing support needed to sustain our level of commitment to the Brigade and greater Naval Academy community.
WHAT IS A PLANKOWNER?
A Plankowner is any individual who commits to $12,500 or more through an outright gift or pledge to the new Alumni Association and Foundation Center.
*Young Alumni Plankowners (graduates from the last 15 years) can commit to an outright gift or pledge of $5,000 to qualify for this recognition.
WHAT IS THE PLANK SIZE AND WHAT CAN BE INCLUDED ON THE PLANK?
Planks are 9” wide x 2” high. Here are 3 examples noted on the graphic to the right.
HOW WILL PLANKOWNERS BE RECOGNIZED?
Plankowners will be prominently recognized in perpetuity within the Plankowner Passageway for maximum visibility of all those who commit to the development and sustainment of this legacy project, in addition to being available virtually on usna.com.
HOW DO INDIVIDUAL PLANKOWNERS FIT INTO CLASS PROJECTS?
All individual gifts, including Plankowner qualifying gifts, directed to the class alumni center fund will count towards your class project goal when your class takes on a project. So, no need to wait for your class to decide, jump on board today and own your piece of history! Note: Gifts from donors who receive individual recognition in other spaces cannot count toward the class goal.
HOW AND WHERE WILL CLASSES BE RECOGNIZED?
We are pleased to offer a unique opportunity for class recognition as part of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation Center project, which will be displayed in perpetuity in the North Garden Terrace located on the front side of the building for all guests to see, in addition to any vehicular traffic on King George Street. This recognition is focused on two levels of class support, $250,000 and $100,000.
